Spiritual Day Trips

Let's Explore the World Together

Day trips during our Yoga Teacher Training are designed as an extension of the learning experience, taking your practice beyond the yoga shala and into the natural beauty and spiritual atmosphere of Kerala. These carefully chosen experiences allow students to connect more deeply with nature, local culture, and the essence of yoga through presence, silence, and shared moments. They offer a beautiful opportunity to step away from the daily routine, breathe deeply, and experience yoga as a way of living.

One of our most special journeys takes us to the beautiful Golden Island, located in the heart of Kerala’s famous backwaters. We travel there by boat, gliding through the peaceful waters surrounded by lush tropical scenery. On the island we visit a small Shiva temple, a sacred place where we receive blessings and spend some time in meditation and mantra chanting. The peaceful atmosphere of the island creates a deeply grounding experience and allows students to connect with the spiritual roots of yoga in a natural and authentic setting.

Another unforgettable experience is our beach meditation trip to the serene Kappil Beach. We travel by taxi to a small traditional fishermen village where daily life still moves with simplicity and connection to nature. From there we enjoy a peaceful walk of around twenty minutes along the coastline, leaving the crowds behind and arriving at a quiet spot by the sea. Surrounded only by the sound of waves and endless ocean views, we take time to meditate, swim in the sea, and simply be present in the moment. Shortly after sunset we return to the school for a fresh homemade dinner.

These day trips are much more than excursions; they are experiences that create lasting memories and often become some of the most cherished moments of the training. They invite students to slow down, reconnect with themselves, and experience the beauty of yoga not only on the mat, but in every part of the journey.

We had students who were beginners but had a strong mind. They followed through, and rested when needed during Asana class in Savasana, which is totally acceptable. However, be aware that a teacher training is very intense. You will have to practice Asanas 2 hours twice a day (morning and evening) for 6 days a week. Therefore you need to be dedicated and fit to follow this routine. Additionally you will have theroy classes, practice meditation and pranayama. All of this takes a lot of time and energy. If you are rather looking for a challenging or relaxing Yoga vacation, we recommend you to book one of our retreats instead.
