Many students ask us what to bring for they stay in South India for one entire
month. Also, packing is not exactly the most exciting part of travelling. That’s why
we created this packing list for your YTTC to assist you with your packing!
Yoga & Clothing
1-2 breathable yoga outfits (light cotton or quick-dry fabrics) per day
2–3 long airy pants or skirts for everyday wear
3–4 loose cotton tops or tunics (cover shoulders)
1–2 long-sleeve shirts or shawls (for sun, temple visits, travel days)
1 light sweater or wrap (for early mornings/rainy evenings)
1 pair of leggings for rest or travel days
1 swimsuit (for beach or ashram rivers)
1 sarong or thin cotton towel (multi-use: beach, yoga mat cover, temple visits)
👕 White ceremony clothes
Comfortable sandals or flip-flops
1 pair of closed shoes (optional, for travel or trekking)
Sun hat or scarf
Lightweight rain poncho (Kerala can have short showers) or umbrella
🧴 Toiletries & Personal Care
Toothbrush, toothpaste, floss
Natural soap + shampoo bar (biodegradable if possible)
Deodorant
Hairbrush + hair ties

Mosquito spray/repellent (available locally, but good to bring one you trust)
Sunscreen (high SPF, natural/mineral preferred)

not regulated here and we are environmentally conscious)

Paracetamol / Aspirin
Ibuprofen or natural pain relief balm
Charcoal tablets or Imodium (for food-related stomach issues)
Electrolyte powder or ORS (very helpful in heat)
Probiotics (capsules or sachets)
Antihistamine (for insect bites or allergies)
Betadine or antiseptic cream
Band-aids / small plasters
Rehydration salts
Personal medication (with prescription if needed)
Yoga & TTC
Yoga mat (we do provide mats, but for airport use or continoued travel we can
recommend the Manduka Travel mat)
Journal + pen + highlighter
Refillable water bottle (metal or glass preferred)
